The 137th overall pick of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft by the Washington Capitals, Connor Carrick has played in nearly 250 National Hockey League games in his career thus far for teams such as Washington, Toronto, Dallas, New Jersey and Boston. Up for grabs here, is this throwback-style Toronto Arenas jersey was worn by Carrick during the second period of the Leafs’ Next Century Game, played on Dec 19, 2017 at Scotiabank Arena against the Carolina Hurricanes that saw the Leafs come away with an 8-1 victory. Featuring an Adidas band that displays both “Made in Canada” and size “58” designations over the inner collar, both NHL shield and Adidas crests reside over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front with a classic Toronto Arenas team crest, based off the sweaters worn by the club in 1918-19, administered in thick white felt that has been affixed with a vintage-style sewing pattern, Carrick’s number “8” appears over the sleeves and verso in matching style with “Carrick” spelt out in white felt letters across the affixed matching nameplate. Worn for just the second period of play during the game, the jersey remains in beautiful condition and shows no obvious game-wear. Having had a “2” penned to the fight strap to denote the jersey as being from the second set worn that day, the original Real Sports tag is affixed to the interior hip label. A Leafs team tag numbered “H-0177” is heat pressed inside the rear hem and is accompanied by a matching Leafs COA.
