Always popular among puck collectors, offered here we present a collection of thirteen (13) Art Ross NHL game pucks dating between 1958 to 1969 with examples representing the tail end of the “Original Six” and infancy of the “Expansion” eras of the National Hockey League. The oldest pucks included are found in the pair of 1958-62 Art Ross Tyre examples of the Chicago Black Hawks and Detroit Red Wings (red logo version). Both in excellent condition, especially the Black Hawks biscuit, both pucks show only light wear to their surfaces and rubberized logos on the front with both having a waxy feel and the Detroit showing some darkening to the reverse crest. Followed up by 1964-67 examples for the New York Rangers and Montreal Canadiens, both present in largely the same condition as their older counterparts with just light surface wear and marks to the logos of both along with the same waxy feel, the Montreal puck shows similar darkening to the reverse crest as what is seen on the previously mentioned Detroit puck as well as some scratches and a small cut/chip over the front. Moving into the expansion era, two 1967-68 Art Ross Converse examples for the Boston Bruins are included with both in overall excellent condition. One of the two shows light crazing to the B’s logo with some light surface wear and scratches while the other presents with a beautiful front crest and light wear to the reverse logo with both bright and orange still. The second shows the same light surface wear and scratches with both having the previously mentioned above waxy feel. 1967-68 pucks for the expansion teams including the Seals, North Stars, Blues, Penguins and Flyers are included with all having the waxy feel and light surface wear/scratches. Some of the reverse crest logos show darkening and some very light wear, mostly on the Philly and Pittsburgh examples with the team logo crests on the front, especially Minnesota, all showing some light-to-moderate wear as well. Of note, the Minnesota and Pittsburgh pucks also show shallow dents along the front face edge. The last of the expansion team pucks if found in the form of a 1968-69 Los Angeles Kings example that shows light wear to both surfaces and front logo with the same waxy feel felt throughout. Lastly, a bit of an oddball is included to round out the lot through a Toronto Maple Leafs slug that shows a 1967-68 back and a 1968-69 front. Showing light surface wear to both sides, light darkening of the back crest and light wear to the Leafs logo, the waxy feel is present and light wear is observed over the front rubberized logo as well.
