Originally the 51st overall pick of the Carolina Hurricanes at the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Brian Dumoulin would never suit up for the club due to a trade that sent him to Pittsburgh in 2012. Currently serving as one of their alternate captains, offered here is this jersey worn by Dumoulin during Pittsburgh’s Stanley Cup championship season of 2016-17 with the accompanying JerseyTRAK LOA listing the games the jersey was worn in, spanning from Sept 30th, 2016 to Dec 23rd, 2016. Made by Reebok, a single size “58” tag is affixed to the inner collar while the crests of the NHL shield and Reebok adorn the front and back necklines respectively. Sporting the well-known Penguins team crest over the very front that has been styled with embroidered details, the franchise’s 50 years anniversary patch resides over the right breast. The sleeves and verso have had Dumoulin’s number “8” sewn to them in dual-layer tackle twill numerals with “Dumoulin” spelt out across the affixed matching nameplate in single layer yellow twill letters. Exhibiting stick marks over the lower front and both sleeves which also display board burns, team repairs are observed over the lower right side in the bottom white stripe and near the right elbow while light pilling is present on the interior. Signed on the inside of the fight strap by equipment manager Dana Heinze, a Penguins team tag denoting the jersey as a “Set 1” specimen is sewn on the inside of the rear hem while the JerseyTRAK’s tracker is sewn into the fight strap. A Penguins COA along with the aforementioned JerseyTRAK LOA will accompany the piece.
Regarding the photo-match, the jersey is matched with Getty Image #636193246 (December 14th, 2016 vs Boston) to the stick marks along the front hem.
