Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2023

Two of baseball’s greatest hitters to ever play in the Major Leagues, Ted Williams and Stan Musial would meet up against each other in the 1946 World Series, with Musial and the Cardinals getting the best of Williams and the Red Sox, 4 games to 3. Presented here is this dual-signed photo framed display of the two legends. Housed in an intricate textured caramel coloured frame that measures out to 17 ¾” x 33” and shows light wear and dings to the edges and corners, an 8” x 10” photo of the two legends sits near the top. Both legends have signed the photo over their respective images with gold and silver signatures with the Musial autograph appearing light from age. At the bottom of the piece, the display is enhanced with an original Chesterfield cigarettes ad from 1947 featuring both Williams and Musial. The ad remains in excellent condition with bright colours and a crease in the bottom right corner. The piece comes accompanied by a JSA LOA.
While all of our frames are thoroughly and safely packaged for shipping, due to the size and/or weight, and dependent upon the shipping company, we should mention that damage may occur in transit. Please note that as such, we are not responsible for damage to frames that occur during shipping.
