Released as part of Parkhurst’s 1952-53 set that consisted of 105 total cards like its counterpart the year prior, offered here is this quartet of Montreal Canadiens hockey cards from that sophomore release. Led by a copy of Maurice Richard’s desirable second year card that has been graded as VERY GOOD+ 3.5 by the examiners at Beckett, the card shows some toning plus corner and edge wear along with a crease at the top right hand corner while the BVG holder displays well with just light scratches over each side. The other three cards, all in raw and ungraded form include the likes of “Boom Boom” Geoffrion, Dickie Moore and Gerry McNeil. The Geoffrion card is found to be in the range of VG to EX condtion range with toning and light corner wear as well as centering issues that are common throughout the set. The Moore specimen, which serves as his rookie card, is found in a mirroring condition vicinity of VG to EX with the same toning, light corner wear and centering issues. Lastly, the card of Gerry McNeil shows in the scope of EX condition with wear to the top two corners the most obvious obtrusion while the card as a whole is mostly free from toning and large centering issues.
