Highlighted by a copy of card #61 picturing Gordie Howe that displays in the condition range of EX to EX-MT, a complete assembly of Topps’ 1969-70 hockey release is offered here. Consisting of 132 cards that present in a fairly uniform condition range of VG-EX to EX with a small number better and a small number worse off, most of the cards display with light corner wear or dings worth mentioning. Those in the aforementioned VG-EX to EX vicinity include the cards of 24-Orr (stamp on back removed) and 30-P. Esposito with the pair followed close behind by card #70 of Bobby Hull in the scope of VG-EX with corner wear and the stamp applied to the reverse. Cards slightly better off than the commonly found scope include those of 6-Cournoyer (slight corner wear), 8-Lemaire (light top left corner wear), 10-Beliveau (top left corner ding), 45-Horton (light factory print lines) and 89-Parent (light corner wear) with the fivesome falling in the proximity of EX condition, as does card #132, the checklist, which remains unmarked. Cards #62 and #76 of Frank Mahovlich (stain at top left)) and Stan Mikita (stamp applied to the reverse) finds themselves in the range of G to VG with both showing a small crease as well. Lastly, the key rookie card of Serge Savard rounds out the group of notables, found in the scope of VG condition with the reverse completely faded.
