Best known for his time in Toronto, Dave Schriner made his NHL debut with the New York Americans in the 1934-35 season and was voted the league's rookie of the year. In just his second year in the league he captured his first of two successive scoring titles and won Stanley Cup’s with the Leafs in 1942 and 1945. Inducted into the HHOF in 1962, Schriner would pass away in 1990 at age 78. Offered here, is this New York Americans CCM Heritage sweater style jersey with a cut signature of Schriner’s embedded into the back number. In excellent condition, the front of the jersey is styled with individually sewn on white felt stars and red felt patches with “New” and “York” embroidered in white thread above individually sewn on felt and embroidered letters spelling “Americans”. Addtionally, “Circa 1926 is embroidered near the front hem below a NHL Heritage line jock tag. Schriner’s number “11” is sewn to the reverse of the patriotic ensemble in layered felt over twill numbered with Sweeney’s signature inserted into the first number “1”. Signed in blue ballpoint ink, the autograph displays without issue. A hologram is affixed to the bottom of the number, with the piece also accompanied by a JSA LOA.
