A four-time NHL All-Star, Alexei Kovalev enjoyed a lengthy pro career, spending almost two decades in the NHL with five different clubs, along with time in his native Russia. Kovalev also won a Stanley Cup championship with the Rangers in 1994. These photo-matched skates were worn by Kovalev during the 2010-11 season, split between Ottawa and Pittsburgh. Reebok 11K models with Tuuk Custom + blade holders and Velocity blades, "27" is embroidered to the bottom reverse of each boot. There are also stickers with "Kovalev" printed on the underside of each boot along with holograms. The skates show just very light wear, with a few marks to the boots including a large cut to the toe of the left skate, with some minor spot rusting to the blade on the right skate. Getty Image #107796203 (Dec 23, 2010) has been matched to the extended thread visible on the inside left section of the tongue on the right skate, additionally, Getty Image #107796139 (Dec 23, 2010) has been matched to a few dark marks on the outside section of the left skate.
