Spending two decades in the major leagues throughout the Roaring Twenties and Depression Era 30s, pitching for nine different clubs, Waite Hoyt compiled over 1,200 strikeouts, and was a member of three World Series Championships. The Brooklynite is featured in this vintage framed portrait. At approx 15" x 21", and possibly a print of some kind mounted to wood, with some colour added, there is also text visible at the bottom of the frame. Hoyt is all smiles, pictured in his Yankees uniform (1921-1930), with "Waite Hoyt" affixed to the bottom of the glass in Yankee blue lettering. Set in a convex frame to full dimensions of 15 1/2" x 21 1/2", there is surface wear to the image including creases, spotting and toning, with two holes through the image at his left ear and top of the left shoulder. The frame shows light wear.
While all of our frames are thoroughly and safely packaged for shipping, due to the size and/or weight, and dependent upon the shipping company, we should mention that damage may occur in transit. Please note that as such, we are not responsible for damage to frames that occurs during shipping.
