Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/28/2023
Produced just after the turn of the century, this one-piece stick was produced by a wood manufacturing company, with a "rock elm" stamp to the blade. The stick would have been purchased by a Canadian retailer to sell, with the company adding a Victor circular baseball logo to the blade (online research shows that this was a Canadian company using this logo before being sued circa 1902 by the American Victor Sporting Goods Company for name infringement). The stick is solid and uncracked, with just normal use shown including some minor warping to the shaft and wear to the underside of the blade. There are also initials carved into the handle. From the Brent Sobie antique hockey and baseball collection.
