Impregnable along the Blueshirts blueline for almost two decades and a key member of the Manhattanites squad that won the 1994 Stanley Cup, Brian Leetch earned a pair of James Norris Trophies with the New York Rangers for his superior defensive skills throughout his career along with the Calder Memorial as the top rookie, in 1989. Hailing from the Dino Ciccarelli personal collection, we have a signed stick used in the mid-to-late-1990s by Leetch, originally obtained by Ciccarelli for his father who is now deceased. An Easton Ultra Lite model, this specific type of stick saw action in two seasons including Leetch’s James Norris winning season of 1996-97, as well as 1997-98. “Leetch” is stamped but faded on the top of the inserted Easton blade stem while Brian’s original tape job is still present over the handle, with the blade tape removed. Personalized to Dino, Leetch has signed the frontside blade in blue marker, adding "NYR #2". The stick shows moderate use with wear to the shaft and handle and a bit of blue paint transfer to the blade. A signed LOA from Dino Ciccarelli will accompany.
