Selected 39th overall by the Ducks in 2011, John Gibson propelled the United States to the gold medal at the 2013 World Junior Hockey Championships winning best goaltender along the way. Up for grabs here, is this Anaheim Ducks third jersey worn by Gibson during his William M. Jennings Trophy winning and All-Star nomination rookie season of 2015-16. Made by Reebok with “Goalie Style” and size “58” tags affixed to the inner collar, crests for the NHL and Reebok are found over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled over the front with the classic Ducks crest in the team’s current colors, matching alternate logo patches reside over each shoulder. The sleeves and verso of the bright orange garment have been accented with Gibson’s number “36” in tri-layer tackle twill numerals with “Gibson” spelt out across the affixed matching nameplate in dual layer black-over-white tackle twill letters. Sporting a Ducks team tag inside the reverse hem that denotes the jersey as being a set #2 offering, good game-wear is observed in the form of dark puck marks over the front and both shoulders as well as a board burn style mark near the left cuff and loose threads on the interior. Additionally, the jersey has been photo-matched with Getty Image #669504496 (March 26th, 2016 vs Ottawa) to the puck mark through the alternate logo patch on the left shoulder. An LOA from the Ducks will accompany the piece.
