Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/28/2023
A back-to-back Stanley Cup champion with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2020 and 2021, Ryan McDonagh spent the earlier part of his career in the Big Apple, and we offer a group of equipment used by the Minnesota native during his time with the New York Rangers. Included, we have a helmet used in 2014, a Bauer stick used in 2015-16, an equipment bag used in 2011-12, Bauer skates used in the mid-2010s and Winter Classic style pants used in 2017-18. The helmet is a Bauer model with intact visor and "27" decals to the forehead and lower reverse along with Rangers team emblems to each side. There is also an NHL decal and "Garden of Dreams" sticker, with a hologram affixed. The helmet shows use with scratches to the surface and on the visor. Next, the skates are Bauer Vapor models with Tuuk Light Speed blade holders, with "27" barcode decals to each blade holder, with additional codes affixed to the underside of each boot. Moderate use is shown to both the boots and blade holders, with wear to the material and numerous puck marks. The pants are Bauer models with "McDonagh" label to the interior and a Rangers shield crest to the front right pant leg and NHL decal to the right reverse. Used at some point during the season - as the Rangers wore their Winter Classic uniforms for more than 1 game, the pants show almost no game-use and remain in beautiful like-new condition. The Easton equipment bag is in Rangers navy blue with red and white trim, with screened Rangers logos and "McDonagh 27" nameplate. The bag shows some discolouration to the handles. Lastly, the stick is a Bauer Supreme model with McDonagh factory graphics and the original black tape to the blade and white to the handles, with just light use shown. LOAs from Steiner will accompany for each item.
