A two-time Stanley Cup Champion with the Tampa Bay Lightning who was originally drafted 12th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in 2007, Ryan McDonagh would spend the first 8 years of his NHL career in the bright lights of Manhattan with the New York Rangers and serve as captain for three and a half seasons. Hailing from the 2014 NHL Stadium Series, we offer this Rangers jersey worn by McDonagh during the first period of each of the Stadium Series games played at Yankee Stadium including on Jan 26th vs New Jersey (won by NY 7-3) and Jan 29th vs NYI (won by the Rangers 2-1). Made by Reebok, a single size “58” label is affixed to the inner collar along with a Rangers inventory barcode above and the crests of the NHL and Reebok over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front with “New York” diagonally down the chest in individual synthetic and sublimated letters, a similar style Rangers shield crest resides over the left shoulder with the all-important 2014 NHL Stadium Series event patch over the right. The sleeves have had McDonagh’s number “27” sewn to them in tri-layer drop-shadow tackle twill numerals with “McDonagh” spelt out across the affixed matching nameplate in single layer navy twill letters. Despite being worn for just two periods of play, the jersey shows good game-use through stick marks found over the lower front and reverse and board burns on the back of the left shoulder. Of note, liquid stains not associated with game-use are present over the front and near the left elbow. On the interior, a “1” is handwritten over the fight strap to denote first period. A MeiGray patch numbered "K07356" is affixed to the inside hem, and according to the company's population report, the jersey is a “White – Stadium Series 1/26/14 and 1/29/14 at Yankee Stadium” specimen and is accompanied by a matching LOA.
