Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/28/2023
A longstanding member first of the Vancouver Maroons during the early-1920s and later as an original New York Ranger, Frank Boucher won Stanley Cup championships with the Blueshirts in 1928 and 1933. The 1958 HOF inductee also played a single season with the Ottawa Munitions during the First World War in 1917-18, along with his brother Bill, with the pair pictured on this original rare composite team photo. At approx 13” x 16”, there are cameo images of the players and management along with the city league trophy, with “1917-18” near the base. The photographer “SJ Jarvis” of Ottawa appears at the bottom center, with the antique photo in stunning high grade. Matted in what appears to be the original frame at full dimensions of 22" x 25", there is some minor wear to the frame. We should also note that this image of Boucher has been utilized for his Wikipedia page.
While all of our frames are thoroughly and safely packaged for shipping, due to the size and/or weight, and dependent upon the shipping company, we should mention that damage may occur in transit. Please note that as such, we are not responsible for damage to frames that occurs during shipping.
