One of Motor City’s all-time greatest, Steve Yzerman spent his entire career with the Detroit Red Wings, registering over 1,700 points including almost 700 goals. This signed stick was used by the perennial captain and superstar during the 1994-95 NHL season, where he registered 38 points in just 47 games. A Louisville TPS model with “S. Yzerman” stamped to the upper shaft, a piece of tape with “1995 Stanley Cup Finals” written in black ink has been applied to the middle of the shaft. Retaining its original tape job of red cloth-over-white on the handle/knob and white on the blade, the stick shows excellent game-use through numerous dark black marks and abrasions over the length of the shaft with additional marks of similar form observed over the heel and blade tape. Sporting a production stamp on the backside lower shaft, the blade of the stick has been broken under the blade tape near the heel. Additionally, Yzerman has signed the lower shaft of the stick with a black ink signature that displays without issue. Also included with the stick is a ticket stub from the Red Wings May 7th, 1995 playoff contest (Game 1 – Western Conference Quarter Finals) vs the Dallas Stars. Yzerman scored the Red Wings 2nd goal on the night during the 2nd period. The stub has shows even heavy toning as well as some creasing and a stain/residue at the right side.
