Three-time Norris Trophy winner Chris Chelios was acquired by Detroit on March 23rd 1999 in a trade with Chicago and would spend the following nine seasons in Detroit winning the Stanley Cup in 2002 and 2008. From his final season in Motor City, we have a Red Wings throwback jersey and socks worn in 2008-09, specifically on April 11, 2009, the second last game of the regular season (a 4-2 loss to Chicago). CCM size 52 tagging is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests to the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the old school Old English "D" team crest, "24" is sewn to the verso in tackle twill, with Red Wings crests to each shoulder. Worn for just a single game (Chelios had 9:17 minutes of ice time), the jersey shows just a single blue mark above the left breast. The socks are in alternating red and white stripes with Reebok XL labels affixed, with "24" handwritten to each. They show light wear with a few small marks to each. A COA from the Red Wings will accompany.
