Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/28/2023
Certainly cool is this 1940s board game that features a photo of HOFer Lester Patrick on the lid cover as well as players in action from the era. Aside from missing its original pair of dice and lacking any of the original scoresheets that came with it, this game, manufactured by Toy Creations of New York, retains its original contents including the rules sheet and cardboard nets. The 13” x 20 ½” game itself has been splendidly preserved, with both cardboard nets intact, light marks on the ice surface with no rips to speak of (one to the outside bottom box is present with other wear to the bottom edges also observed). The box lid remains its good condition as well despite some creasing, tears to the bottom edge and corners and some paper loss. All in all, a really cool board game endorsed by the mighty Lester Patrick, who was inducted into the HOF in 1947 and passed away in 1960.
Please note, it cannot be guaranteed that the game included in the lot is complete and as such is being sold "AS IS" and is ineligible for return.
