Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/28/2023
The youngest player in history to receive the honour when he earned the Calder Memorial Trophy as a teenager in 1967, Bobby Orr would see action as a First All-Star Team selection is each season until 1975 – with just his rookie campaign witnessing second seating. Offered here, is this 1970’s NHL All-Star Game jersey that has been signed by Orr. Made by CCM with brand and size “L” tagging affixed to the inner collar, the front and shoulders have been decorated with tackle twill NHL shield crests while dual layer orange-over-black tackle twill stars, once again featuring the NHL shield, have been sewn over the left and right breast respectively. Additional dual layer white-over-black tackle twill stars are found over the sleeve and hem stripes. Remaining in new-with-tags condition, the sleeves and verso have had Orr’s iconic number “4” sewn to them with “Orr” across the top of the back in matching style. Additionally, Orr has signed the back number with a black marker ink signature that displays well with just light bleeding. A hologram from Great North Road is affixed underneath the autograph and is accompanied by a matching COA.
