Playing in a combined total of 1736 National Hockey League games over the course of their careers, both Donald Audette and Tomas Plekanec would spend time wearing the famed red, white and blue of the Montreal Canadiens while also spending some time with their AHL affiliate, the Hamilton Bulldogs. Offered here, is this pair of Bulldogs jerseys worn by Audette and Plekanec. Audette’s jersey, worn during his 11-game stint during the 2002-03 season is made by SP Apparel with both brand labeling and a size “52” tag affixed to the inner collar. Decorated the reverse neckline and hem with AHL logo crest, an addition SP patch is found on the hem as well while the front is decorated with the Bulldogs team crest in layered tackle twill with embroidered details and a Pepsi sponsor patch over the right breast. Matching alternate logo crests reside over each shoulder while the sleeves and verso have had Audette’s number “28” sewn to them in tri layer tackle twill numerals with “Audette” across the affixed nameplate in single layer navy letters. Good game-use is seen throughout the piece with stick marks over the front, both sleeves and reverse as well as board burns and paint transfers over both sleeves and lower reverse as well. Additionally, a large team repair is seen between the numbers on the right arm.
The Plekanec jersey, worn by the Czech born star during his short 2-game stint in the minors in 2005-06 is the Bulldogs alternate jersey for that season made by Reebok. Sporting brand/AHL labeling along with a size “54” flag tag that has Tomas’ number “14” handwritten twice in partially washed-out black ink, the reverse neckline and hem carry Reebok logo patches with an AHL patch also affixed over the reverse hem as well. Decorated over the front with the same Bulldogs team crest in layered tackle twill with embroidered details and the Pepsi sponsorship patch over the right breast, the sleeves and verso have been accented with Plekanec’s number “14” in triple layer tackle twill. With “Plekanec” spelt out across the affixed nameplate in single layer white twill letters, the tie-neck blue garment shows light game-use via light stick marks and board burns over both sleeves near the elbows with an additional stick mark at the front crest and board burn/paint transfer over the right shoulder. The Plekanec jersey comes accompanied by an LOA from the Bulldogs.
