Registering his highest penalty minutes with 237, Al Iafrate spent his final season in Toronto in 1990-91, and was traded after 42 games to the Washington Capitals. This signed Leafs jersey was worn by the Michigan native in 1990-91. Maska Ultrafil labeling with handwritten “54” sizing remains affixed to the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests on the back bottom hem. Styled with the forever-classic Leafs team crest, "33" is affixed single twill sewn to the sleeves and verso, with "Iafrate" to the nameplate in single white twill. Exhibiting light use with the jersey remaining fairly clean, Iafrate has signed the left shoulder, with some minor bleeding to the signature. Getty Image #169082380 (November 6, 1990) is showing a black mark on the left sleeve at the elbow's height, with a washed-out black mark on the same area and angled the same way, but the image is not high resolution enough to call a definitive photo-match. Additionally, Getty Image #169082199 (December 18, 1990) shows the blue threads on both "3" of "33" on the left sleeve in the same areas as on the jersey, but again the image is not high resolution enough to call a definitive photo-match. An LOA from the Leafs signed by Iafrate will accompany.
