The darlings of the first iteration of the United States Football League, the Philadelphia Stars won 41 of the 54 regular season games they played and went 7-1 in the postseason, making it to the league championship game all three years and winning it all in both 1984 and 1985. Offered here, is this equipment bag used by the Stars during the early-to-mid-1980s. Featuring the Stars logo stenciled onto one side of the bag and an ID window on the other, the red canvas sack sports a Gerry Cosby’s tag sewn on top and is accented with yellow leather around the corners and zipper ends with the aforementioned zipper remaining fully functional. Matching yellow coloured canvas handles wrap all the way around the piece with four metal feet being found on the underside as well. Measuring approx. 14” x 26” x 14”, the bag shows good wear from many travels such as to the leather on the corners and a hole on the top near the Cosby’s tag along with various scuffs throughout.
