Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023

Exhibiting very little handling and wear is this extremely fetching batch of 1968-69 Topps cards, with NM-or-better examples appearing to add up to form a majority. EX-MT and EX-MT+ representatives account for most of the rest, while the key Bobby Orr card is among the minimal condition exceptions. Two light (left) corner dings, a touched corner, minor edge wear and a little color loss in the black surrounding Bobby’s name make for our EX verdict, with #1-Cheevers similar. The key Bernie Parent rookie card, 29-Howe and an unmarked checklist are shy of NM at EX-MT, while 7-Esposito (NM), 16-Hull (NM-MT) and 61-Beliveau (NM) lead the nicest star action. Crisp crease-free cards with unblemished surfaces are a treat to sift through, with submission candidates to be zeroed-in on. A landmark issue for the times (members of the six expansion teams appear for the first time) will please you when it arrives.
