The smallest skater in NHL history, Nathan Gerbe would score twice in the 2008 NCAA Championship Game against Notre Dame to lead his Boston College Eagles to the National Title. Drafted 142nd overall by Buffalo in 2005, Gerbe would play 435 games over the course of his National Hockey League career with additional stops in Carolina and Columbus. Featuring a size “52” label affixed to the inner collar, crests for the NHL and Reebok are found over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front with the well known Sabres team crest with embroidered details, Gerbe’s number “42” has been sewn to the chest, sleeves and verso in dual layer navy-over-yellow tackle twill. “Gerbe” is spelt out across the affixed matching nameplate in single layer navy twill letters. Exhibiting good game-wear, dark stick marks are seen over the front, reverse and both sleeves with unrepaired holes also seen over both sleeves including a large tear near the right elbow and red board paint transfers near the left cuff. Green marks are seen over the hem on the reverse as well. A Sabres team patch numbered “7365” is sewn to the interior reverse hem, displaying a handwritten "1" in black ink for set 1, with the jersey accompanied by a matching Sabres COA. Additionally, the jersey has been photo-matched with Getty Image #166749176 (April 9th, 2013 vs Winnipeg) to the large tear near the right elbow.
