A veteran of 965 National Hockey League games over fifteen (15) seasons, David Backes would spend ten (10) of those years with the St. Louis Blues. An Olympic silver medalist in 2010 representing the United States, offered here is this Blues jersey worn by Backes during the 2009-10 season. Featuring a single size “58+” label affixed to the inner collar, crests for the NHL and Reebok adorn the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front with the Blues team crest that featured embroidered details, the sleeves and verso of the jersey have had Backes’ number “42” sewn to them in tri-layer tackle twill with “Backes” spelt across the affixed matching nameplate in single layer white twill letters. Exhibiting moderate game-use, board burns are seen over each sleeve with an unrepaired hole observed under the right sleeve numbers while board paint transfers can be found over the left sleeve and reverse number “2”. The heaviest wear comes in the form of a pair of team repairs near the right cuff. A couple of small stains not from game-use can be seen near the left collar bone as well. Set information has been heat pressed into the interior reverse hem. Additionally, the jersey has been photo-matched to Getty Image #94560768 (December 15th, 2009 vs Calgary) to board burns and the unrepaired hole seen on the right sleeve. A Blues COA will accompany the piece.
