A New York Rangers draft choice in 2004, Ryan Callahan spent his first eight seasons in Manhattan which included serving as team captain from 2011 until his trade to Tampa Bay, in 2014. Offered here, is this collection of equipment worn by Callahan during the late-2000s/early-2010s as a member of the New York Rangers. First, is a stick used by Callahan during the 2011-12 season, an Easton RS Stealth model with “24 Callahan” factory graphics over the upper shaft, Ryan’s original tape job of blue-cloth-over-white resides over the handle/knob, showing a handwritten “24” at the bottom in black ink, with black over the blade. Showing good game-use, cuts, tears and marks are seen over the blade tape with marks/abrasions seen throughout the heel, lower shaft and shaft. From the same season, a pair of Reebok 9K Pump skates are also included. Still with their blades but void of their insoles, Callahan’s number “24” is embroidered into the back of each boot. Measuring out to a size 7.5, Rangers identifiers and barcodes are affixed to the underside of each boot. Sporting good game-wear, each boot and blade holder shows numerous frays, marks, abrasions and nicks. Next, is a pair of Warrior gloves worn circa-2011. In the Rangers red, white and blue colours, “Callahan” is embroidered into each cuff while “Warrior” is screened to each wrist with a Warrior patch sewn into each thumb. Sporting light-to-moderate game-use, fraying is seen to the outside of each with stick marks also observed along with wear to the Warrior patch on the right thumb. The palms are free from holes with moderate rubbing to each. Lastly, is a helmet worn by Ryan during the 2007-08 season. With an Oakley visor on the front, “NYR” decals are found over each side with Callahan’s number “24”, the NHL shield and “Garden of Dreams” stickers over the reverse. Carrying an intact strapping harness and padding on the interior, a sticker affixed to the inside has “Calla” written in black marker. Good game-use is found via numerous marks, scratches and abrasions. The stick, skates and gloves have Steiner holograms affixed with the skates and gloves accompanied by matching LOA’s. The helmet comes with a Rangers LOA and MeiGray COR.
