Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction April 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/1/2024
The greatest Chicago Black Hawk in almost a century of Windy City hockey, Bobby Hull was the epitome of a complete player during his Hall of Fame tenure, combining a high level of skilled play along with a booming shot and aggressive ferocity. A Stanley Cup champion in 1961 and inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1983, Hull would also skate in the World Hockey Association with AVCO Cup championships coming in 1976, 1978 and 1979. Offered here, and hailing from the personal collection of the illustrious hockey star with the booming slap shot, is this replica statue of the one that sits outside the United Center in Chicago that pays homage to Hull and his career with the Black Hawks. Measuring 12" high and sitting atop of a black coloured wooden base, the statue portrays Hull in the follow through of one of his fear inducing slap shots while donning Chicago's famous red sweater. Sporting a gold coloured plaque that reads "Bobby Hull" in black text that also shows his famed number "9", the piece remains in excellent condition throughout with just light wear observed over the base and plaque from handling and display. Coming from his personal collection, an LOA from the Hull Family will accompany the piece.
