Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/13/2022
On a rehab assignment during the early part of the 1995-96 season with the Phoenix Roadrunners of the IHL, Kelly Hrudey would see action in one game with the club wearing the Roadrunners white home jersey before going back up to the NHL and rejoining the Los Angeles Kings. From the Barry Meisel collection, we offer this Phoenix Roadrunners away jersey issued to Hrudey during that rehab assignment that was never worn. Made by Bauer, the company’s Bauer Pro labeling and a size “56G” fly tag are affixed to the inner collar, with both the Bauer and IHL logos embroidered into the rear hem. The front of the jersey is decorated with the Roadrunners team crest featuring both embroidered and chainstitched details with the sleeves and verso have been accented with Hrudey’s number “30” in white-over-grey tackle twill while. “Hrudey” is spelt across the affixed matching nameplate in single layer white twill letters. Issued but never worn, the jersey remains in excellent condition with the only flaw of note being a pair of stains on the front of the jersey underneath the Roadrunners crest. A MeiGray LOA will accompany the piece.
