Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2023

Winning his fourth and final Stanley Cup championship with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1990-91, Paul Coffey contributed a total of 64 points in 54 games played with the Penguins during the following season of 1991-92 before a trade sent him to the Los Angeles Kings and reunited him with former Oilers teammates Wayne Gretzky and Jari Kurri. Hailing from the 1991-92 season, we offer this stick used by Coffey. A Sher-Wood PMP 7030 model with "Coffey 77" factory graphics over the upper shaft, factory production numbers and "Pittsburg" appear stamped on the underside of the stick at the bottom of the shaft. Retaining its original tape job of black over the knob/handle and white over the blade, the foil accent sticker found at the bottom of the shaft remains present and intact. Displaying game-use via some dark marks and abrasions throughout the shaft, lower shaft and heel, the blade tape also shows marks over both sides as well. Additionally, Coffey has signed the heel of the stick on the forehand side with a crisp blue ink signature that displays without issue.
