A 16-year Major League veteran, Pee Wee Reese, played in 2,166 games, accumulating 2,170 hits in 8,058 at-bats for a .269 career batting average along with 126 home runs and 885 RBI’s. A good friend of trailblazer Jackie Robinson and support pillar of his during his rookie season of 1947, Reese was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1984 with this bat made by Louisville Slugger to commemorate the accomplishment. A deep brown colour and measuring 33 ½” long, “Hall of Fame” and “August 12, 1984” are branded in gold over the barrel with Reese’s signature in matching style in between. The Louisville Slugger stamp and their 100th anniversary logo are also found in the same gold style. In good condition with a few marks over the barrel and end of the bat, Reese has signed underneath the induction date in gold ink with the autograph displaying well despite a couple small light areas. A Beckett sticker numbered “Q42572” is affixed to the knob and is accompanied by a matching COA.
