Drafted 4th overall by Vancouver at the 998 National Hockey League Draft, Bryan Allen would forge out a career spanning 721 NHL games split between the Canucks, Panthers, Hurricanes, Ducks and Canadiens. A silver medalist with Canada at the 1999 World Junior Championships, offered here is this Canucks jersey worn by Allen during his rookie season of 2001-02. Sporting sewn over size “58” and “Made in Canada” fly tags affixed to the next, a KOHO crest is sewn over the reverse neckline while the NHL shield is embroidered into the rear hem. Styled over the front with the Canucks orca whale crest with textured and embroidered details, the sleeves and verso have been accented with Allen’s number “5” in triple layer tackle twill numerals with “Allen” spelt out across the affixed matching nameplate in single layer silver letters. Exhibiting good game-wear, the jersey shows numerous board burns and stick marks over the left sleeve along with an unrepaired hole with light wear observed over the right one. Additionally, dark stick marks are seen over the lower front of the jersey as well. A pair of caramel coloured stains are seen near the left cuff as well. Of note, the fight strap on the interior shows “Komarniski 5” handwritten on the fight strap, with the jersey likely issued/made up for him before Allen’s arrival as light evidence of a former nameplate is present on the jersey. A Canucks LOA will accompany.
