Signing with the Boston Bruins in 1948 after a pair of seasons in the QSHL with the Shawinigan Falls Cataracts, Philip Maloney saw action in parts of two seasons with the Beantowners which included finishing second for the Calder Memorial as the top rookie in 1949-50. Maloney would also dress for Toronto and Chicago during his career. This NHL Standard Player's Contract signed by HOFers Art Ross and Lynn Patrick is drawn for the 1950-51 NHL season, where Maloney earned $7000.00 (approx $86,500.00 in 2022 dollars). With no bonuses or addendums listed, Maloney has signed in blue ballpoint, while Ross and Patrick have signed in dark fountain pen ink, with all three signatures flawless. The contract itself shows just the usual fold lines with no damage or condition issues. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
