One of the team’s brightest lights during his 8-plus seasons in Chicago, Tony Amonte averaged better than 30 goals a year with the Black Hawks, including 31 the year this jersey was worn, the 1997-98 season. A Nike made offering, labels from the brand displaying size “52”, “Center Ice Authentic Collection” and “Made in Canada” are affixed to the inner collar. Decorated over the front with the famous chained stitched Blackhawks Indian-head crest, the solid black V-neck jersey has been accented with a white tackle twill alternate captain’s "A" with red trim with the sleeve and verso numbers of Amonte’s number “10” done in matching style. Matching chain-stitched tomahawk alternate logo crests are also found residing over each shoulder. Embroidered NHL shield and Nike swoosh logos are found over the reverse hem with "97 1" handwritten on the back of the NHL shield logo indicating the year and set designations. The fight strap on the interior of the jersey shows evidence of having been washed multiple times. Good game-wear is exhibited on the jersey, which has been hemmed, through dark stick marks and paint transfer over the lower front and sleeves. Board burns are found over each sleeve with a team repair present near the left elbow as well. Of note, the alternate captain’s “A”, sleeve and verso numbers are showing colour bleed from multiple washings on the white layer of twill. Additionally, the jersey has been photo-matched to a pair of screen grabs from a video of the December 26th 1997 game against the St. Louis Blues to the black mark in the top area of the "0" of "10" on the left sleeve.
