Achieving every player’s goal of winning the Stanley Cup in 1998 as a member of the Detroit Red Wings, Brent Gilchrist would suit up in 792 NHL games over the course of his 15-year career with six different franchises. Offered here, is this Dallas Stars jersey worn by Gilchrist during the club’s inaugural season of 1993-94 after their relocation from Minnesota. A CCM made one-year style jersey with size “52” and Maska labels affixed to the inner collar, the logos of CCM, NHL and Stars are embroidered into the reverse hem. Styled with the inaugural team crest that saw use just the first season, Gilchrist’s “41” appears over the sleeves and verso in green, black and white layered tackle twill, with matching Texas state patches residing over each shoulder. “Gilchrist” is spelt out across the affixed matching nameplate in single layer white twill letters. Worn during a season that saw him pot 17 goals and contribute 14 assists, the jersey shows good game-use via stick marks over the left sleeve and lower front with board burns found over each sleeve as well. Additional wear is observed through a white board paint transfer at the right elbow, light pilling on the interior and salting of the fight strap. Furthermore, Gilchrist has signed the reverse number “1” with a black ink signature that displays without issue.
