The NHL’s all-time winningest goaltender, Martin Brodeur entered the 2008-09 season needing needing 14 wins to break Roy's record (of 551 wins) and was on pace to get there in early December before a bicep tear on November 1st, requiring surgery, sidelined the legend for 50 games. Coming back on February 26th against the Colorado Avalanche, Brodeur would win eight of his first nine starts following his return to pass Roy. Hailing from his record breaking 2008-09 season, is this Devils jersey worn by Martin Brodeur. Made by Reebok, size “58+” and “Goalie Style” tagging is affixed to the inner collar while NHL and Reebok logos adorn the front and back necklines respectively. Styled over the front with the Devils crest in layered tackle twill, Brodeur’s number “30” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in dual layer tackle twill with “Brodeur” across the affixed matching nameplate in matching style. The jersey shows good game-wear, showcasing puck marks over the front, the shoulders and the left cuff. Additionally, the jersey is photo-matched to the game Brodeur got hurt in, with Getty Images #83563222 and #83528558 (November 1st, 2008 vs Atlanta) to the puck marks found over the Devils crest. A MeiGray patch numbered “F06040” is affixed to the interior hem and according to their population report, the jersey is a “Red Set 1” example. An LOA from the Devils will accompany.
