Originally selected by the Anaheim Mighty Ducks at the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, Jordan Leopold would go on to a career that spanned 695 games played split between eight different National Hockey League franchises. Representing the United States numerous times in international competition, offered here is this Buffalo Sabres 40-year anniversary jersey worn by Leopold during the 2010-11 season. Made by Reebok, a size “56” flag tag is affixed to the inner collar while logos of the NHL and Reebok are found on the front and reverse necklines respectively. Featuring “Buffalo” arching across the chest in individual white felt letters, a 1970 Sabres crest has been placed beneath, with “3” over the sleeves and verso in coarse white felt affixed with cross-pattern stitching. Leopold’s name is spelt out across an affixed yellow airknit nameplate in single layer blue letters. The interior hem of the jersey features Sabres team tagging designating it as an official 2010-11 game jersey while Jordan has penned his signature over the fight strap in black marker. Sporting no obvious game-use on the outside, a couple of snags are observed over the body and sleeves while a couple of small pills are seen on the interior with fabric stuck in the Velcro of the fight strap as well.
