The 5th overall pick at the 1999 NHL Draft by the New York Islanders, Tim Connolly’s career would span 697 games over 11 seasons spent between New York, Buffalo and Toronto. Presented here, is this jersey worn by Connolly as a member of the Buffalo Sabres during the 2008-09 season. Made by Reebok and displaying a single size “56” tag affixed to the inner collar, the crests of the NHL and Reebok are found over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled over the front with the well-known Sabres crest that features embroidered details, the chest, sleeves and verso of the tie neck sweater have been accented with Connolly’s number “19” in dual layer yellow-over-white tackle twill numerals. “Connolly” is spelt out across the affixed matching nameplate in single layer yellow twill letters. Exhibiting very light game-use, the jersey only shows a couple of board burns over the left shoulder and right hip as well as a stick mark at the left hip. A Sabres team tagging patch denoting the jersey as a “2008-2009 Official Game Jersey” has been affixed to the interior reverse hem and Connolly has signed the underside of the fight strap with a black marker ink signature that displays without issue.
