An extreme accomplishment and moment in the Cold War and Space Race between the United States and Soviet Union, March 18th, 1965 saw Soviet cosmonaut, Alexi Leonov, conduct the first spacewalk, exiting the capsule during the Voskhod 2 mission for 12 minutes and 9 seconds. Offered here, is this limited-edition signed print of Leonov’s painting capturing the historic achievement. Measuring 20.5” x 17” and framed to full dimensions of 25 ½” x 22”, the piece is housed in a metallic blue frame that shows light wear around the corners and edges. Not under glass, the print shows surface wear and dings with flaws also present on the black matte as well. Serial numbered “59/500” in the bottom left-hand corner, Leonov has signed the bottom of the piece with a bold pencil signature, with Russian writing above, with the autograph accompanied by an LOA from JSA.
