Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022

A six time All-Star throughout his exceptional HOF career, Grant Fuhr proved to be one of the best clutch goaltenders during his era of play, with five Stanley Cup championships won along with the Vezina Trophy in 1988. Hailing from his time spent in the “Gateway to the West”, is this stick used by Fuhr in the late-1990s while playing with the Blues. A Franklin 8000 model “Fuhr G. 31” is stamped to the upper shaft with Fuhr’s white tape job still present over the handle/knob. The blade tape has been removed to facilitate a bold black ink signature of Fuhr’s that displays well. The stick sports good game-use with toning to the front half of the blade while numerous other marks/abrasions are seen throughout both the front and backsides. Post paint transfer is also present, mostly on the backside of the paddle and shaft, while a crack is seen at where the handle and paddle meet.
