Impregnable along the Blueshirts blueline for almost two decades and a key member of the blue shirts squad that won the 1994 Stanley Cup, Brian Leetch earned a pair of James Norris Trophies with the New York Rangers for his superior defensive skills throughout his career along with the Calder Memorial as the top rookie, in 1989. Hailing from his time in Manhattan in the mid-to-late-1990s, we have this stick used by the star blueliner. An Easton Ultra Lite model, this specific type of stick saw action in two seasons including Leetch’s James Norris winning season of 1996-97 and 1997-98. “Leetch” is stamped on the top of the inserted Easton blade stem while Brian’s original tape job is still present consisting of white over the handle and black residing on the blade. Showing light game-use, the blade tape shows marks and a tear to the top edge with the exposed areas of the blade, heel and lower shaft showing light marks/abrasions. Wear is also present over the taped handle.
