The highest-scoring left winger in NHL history upon his retirement, Luc Robitaille spent almost two decades in the world’s most competitive league, winning a Stanley Cup as a member of the Detroit Red Wings in 2002. Hailing from his second tenure with the Kings, is this stick used by Robitaille during the late-1990s, with this model seeing use during the 1998-99 and 1999-00 seasons. An Innovative 2000 model with “Robitaille” stamped to the upper shaft and topside of the inserted wooden blade, Luc’s original white tape job is found over the handle/knob and the blade. Game war on the stick is moderate with numerous tears to the bottom edge of the blade tape as well as puck marks to the tape and blade itself. The shaft shows marks/abrasions while red paint transfer is seen near the heel. Also of note, a small chip to the backside of the blade just before the heel and a small crack on the bottom of the blade. Additionally, Robitaille has signed the blade of the stick with a crisp signature that shows well despite some fading being present.
