Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/13/2022
With an explosive breakout season in 1992-93 with Winnipeg, Teemu Selanne finished his rookie campaign with an astounding 132 points in 84 games, and he would finish his 22-year career with 1457 combined goals and assists, averaging more than a point a game. An Easton 19 model, we have this stick used by Selanne circa 2010 while playing with the Anaheim Ducks, with this model used during the 2009-10 and early on in the 2010-11 seasons. “Selanne 8” factory graphics appear over the upper shaft while Teemu’s original white tape job appears over the knob/handle, with what appears to be a “7” handwritten on the top. The blade tape has mostly been removed to facilitate a gorgeous silver ink signature that Selanne has penned, displaying without issue. Sporting good game-use, tape residue is seen on the blade, including a full strand near the toe. The heel and shaft both show numerous marks/abrasions as well.
