The third in a long line of hockey releases by Canadian company Parkhurst, offered here is this complete 100-card assembly of their 1953-54 release. A lower grade offering with some better grade specimens mixed in as well, the key rookie card of Jean Beliveau, #27 in the checklist, is found in the range of PR (poor) to FR (fair) showing multiple creases as well as corner wear. Joined by star cards of 50-Howe and 92-Schmidt in the same condition range, the Howe has multiple light creases and corner wear while Milt’s card has large creases across the middle. A bit better off you’ll find the rookie card of Gump Worsley (#53 - G to VG scope – crease at the bottom right) as well as cards picturing Lach and Richard (#30 – G to VG range – light crease) and Boom Boom Geoffrion (#29 – FR – a few creases and rounded corners). The best of the bunch includes cards of 26-Harvey (VG to VG/EX vicinity – slight water stain at the bottom right), 24-Richard (VG to VG/EX scope – gum stain on the front and a smudge at the right border) and 28-Moore (VG/EX – corner wear). The final trio to round out the set’s key cards include #’s 13 of Tim Horton and 52 Ted Lindsay, both in the range of VG with the Horton showing a light crease that only appears on the reverse while the Lindsay has a small crease at the bottom left, as well as #46 of Terry Sawchuk in PR/FR condition with multiple creases.
