Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/13/2022
Later known as "Mr. Goalie," Glenn Hall appears here on his important rookie card, issued during his first of ten seasons with Chicago. Curiously, Hall had won the Calder Memorial Trophy and led the league in shutouts as a rookie with Detroit and then led in wins the following season but was traded to Chicago with Ted Lindsay in the summer of '57. The key card in Topps' '57-58 set is the Hall RC, with this example graded NM 7 by PSA. With only the lightest touches of wear to the corners and some light surface wear on the front, the reverse is nice and clean, culminating in this being a desirable high-grade example. The PSA holder remains in near perfect condition, with only 1 or 2 light scratches/scuffs on either side.
