Perhaps the strongest international hockey program in the game’s history, the Soviet Union National Team played in some of the games top moments and won at least one medal each year at either the Ice Hockey World Championships or the Olympic hockey tournament from 1954 to 1991. Presented here is this beautiful photograph of the circa 1972 Soviet Union National Team that has been signed by approx. 20 individuals on the back of the photo including: Kharlamov, Tretiak, Yakushev, Lutchenko, Mikhailov, Davidov, Shadrin, Mishakov, Lebedev, Tsygankov, Petrov, Gusev, Zimin, Kuzkin, Liapkin, Anisin, Sidelnikov and Chernyshev. All the signatures are done in blue ballpoint pen on the back side, displaying strongly and without issue. Measuring approx. 4” x 6 ¼”, the colour photograph displays toning and surface wear with light edge and corner wear also present. Creasing is found at the bottom left side. A remarkable piece from one of hockey’s most recognized teams.
