A pair of players that played pivotal roles in the success of the Montreal Canadiens during the 1950s in which they won a still unmatched five (5) straight Stanley Cup’s and 12 between the two of them, Doug Harvey and Bernard “Boom Boom” Geoffrion are featured here on their respective cards in Parkhurst’s 1953-54 set. Cards number 26 and 26 in the series, both have been examined by PSA with Harvey earning a mark of NM 7 and Geoffrion garnering a NM-MT 8 designation. The Harvey card, is absolutely stunning with incredible colour and white borders on the front side along with good centering. Sharp corners and clean edges add to its appeal while the reverse shows one tiny mark. Truly a breathtaking card with only 31 graded higher by PSA. The Boom Boom offering, despite some light surface wear and toning shows sharp corners and good edges with excellent centering like the Harvey card it is paired with. The reverse shows one small mark with the black print on the back still very bold and fresh. A highly desirable card, it is made even more so based on the fact that only one other example of card #29 has been graded higher. The PSA holder for Geoffrion is in great condition having been well cared for and having only light scratches on each side while Harvey’s holder shows cracks at the top corners.
