Canada’s only remaining Major League Baseball team, the featured collection of six (6) tickets presents a timeline of significant events in the history of the Toronto Blue Jays between 1989 and 1996. Additionally, all the tickets have certified and graded by iCert. 1) is a full ticket from the Blue Jays last game at Exhbition Stadium on May 28th, 1989. A 7-5 Blue Jays win over the Chicago White Sox, the Jays would move into the newly built SkyDome a few days later. The ticket has been graded EX-MT 6, showing touches of wear to the corners and edges with the top edge showing darkening. 2) is a full ticket from the Blue Jays first game at SkyDome on June 5th, 1989. The Milwaukee Brewers would spoil the party, taking the game by a 5-3 final score. The ticket displays both Blue Jays and SkyDome logos with “The First Game” designation underneath the Blue Jays logo. Graded NM-MT 8, the ticket displays beautifully showing only light touches of wear to the corners. 3) is a ticket from the 1991 MLB All-Star Game held in Toronto at SkyDome. The 2nd MLB All-Star Game held in Canada and first hosted by the Blue Jays, the ticket shows game information on a pinstripe background with a Jays player and All-Star Game logo hologram exhibited in the middle of the stub. The ticket has received a grade NM-MT 8.5 with just light corner wear and surface marks present on the back. 4) is a ticket from game 6 of the 1992 World Series between Toronto and Atlanta. The Blue Jays would clinch the series on the road in game 6 to give Toronto and Canada, their first World Series Championship. The ticket displays the Braves logo with “VS American League Champions” underneath while the 1992 World Series logo is present as well. Graded NM 7, the stub shows light edge and corner wear. 5) Back in the World Series the following season, the 1993 Fall Classic saw the Blue Jays clinch at home against the Philadelphia Phillies on Joe Carter’s walk-off home-run. This game 6 ticket from that clinching game displays the Blue Jays logo with “VS National League Champions” and the 1993 World Series logo underneath that. Graded EX+ 5.5, the stub shows edge and corner wear with creasing present at 2 of the 4 corners. 6) The last ticket of the collection is from Opening Day 1996, the 20th anniversary of the Toronto Blue Jays franchise. Displaying the 20th anniversary logo between pictures of the first pitch in franchise history and the aftermath of Joe Carter’s World Series winning home-run on an abstract striped blue and white design with “Toronto Blue Jays” embossed on the lower right side has been graded NM 7 and displays light corner and edge wear from handling. All the iCert holders remain in good condition showing just light scratching.
