Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022

A pair of players that played pivotal roles in the success of the Montreal Canadiens during the 1950s in which they won a still unmatched five (5) straight Stanley Cup’s, Dickie Moore and Doug Harvey are featured here on their respective cards in Parkhurst’s 1952-53 set. Card’s number 10 and 14 in the series, both have been examined and inspected by PSA and deemed worthy of a NM 7 designation on each. The Moore card, his rookie offering, shows good centering and good edges with clean surfaces and sharp corners seen on both sides. A small print defect is seen over the “8” in Moore’s birth year on the back of the card. The Harvey card has some surface wear on the front while the back remains clean. The corners are still sharp with the worst touches, albeit still light, touches of wear seen to those on the right side. The borders remain fairly white and the centering is good on both sides. The PSA pop report shows that only 24 examples of Moore’s rookie have been graded higher while only 19 better examples have been graded of Harvey’s card. Both PSA holders remain in good condition with just a few scratches over each side.
