Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023

The new kid on the National Hockey League’s block at the beginning of the 2017-18 season, the Vegas Golden Knights would shock the hockey world by going all the way to the Stanley Cup Final in their inaugural season, the first team to do so since the St. Louis Blue in 1968. Leading the way with 43 goals and 78 points, offered here is this stick used by William Karlsson during the 2017-18 season with the Vegas Golden Knights. A Warrior Alpha QX model with “W. Karlsson” factory graphics over the upper shaft, "2/15/18" (possibly meaning that the stick was used that night against their 4-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers) is handwritten on the underside of the shaft in black ink. The stick retains its original tape job of black on the blade and yellow cloth-over-black on the shaft/knob that is slightly tacky and sticky to the touch. Exhibiting light-to-moderate game use, marks are seen on both sides of the blade tape with a small number of light marks/abrasions also seen over the lower shaft and heel of the stick as well. A MeiGray sticker numbered "MGA12557" is affixed on the backside of the upper shaft and is accompanied by a matching LOA.
