The words big and tiny are involved is this interesting batch of pre-war collectibles, with the cards of big Maple Leafs’ stars of the day, (King Clancy and Busher Jackson), along with Bruins’ goalie Tiny Thompson, recently receiving alluring assessments at PSA. Busher’s card #51 merited NM 7 recognition, making it a Pop 2 with just four higher examples on the PSA Population Report, with 12-Thompson and 29-Clancy slabbed EX 5. A VG-EX+ Jackson duplicate is amid the condition leaders among the raw contributors, while also crease-free and in the VG-EX to EX range are seven others; Hall of Famer 75-Syd Howe, along with 28-N. Metz, 46-Cain, 63-O’Neil RC, 79-McManus RC, 101-Mundy RC and 113-Murray RC. With a light crease and G+ is 23-Syl Apps, while a trio of the #1 card of Charlie Conacher is comprised of lower grade entries; the most attractive has staining and paper loss on the back, with the two others either stained or with paper loss on the front. Completing the roster are 40-Boll (VG-EX (ST)) and 115-Perreault RC (VG). Surfacing rather infrequently are 1937-38 World Wide Gum cards, with this group possessing intriguing appeal.
